Dear Community Supporter:
We all like to see our young people be successful, but we must also remind ourselves that it can't happen without the support of the community. In these hard economic times, we know that it's tough for families and businesses to contribute that extra dollar to help. However, when we see kids striving to become better citizens because of the opportunity they have with school activities, it becomes an all out effort. This positive result brings so much added value to the community in which we all live. It’s a community that they and their families share with you on a daily basis.
The first part of the school year has come and gone. We've had football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball and water polo to enjoy. Involvement in sports continues to grow with each exciting win. The Band is playing their hearts out and keeping things lively. The Theatre is developing the talent of our very own hidden gems. School Spirit is very much ALIVE and our student athletes need our support more than ever. That's why we are reaching out to the community in such a collaborative and enormous way. We need your HELP!
The 11 High Schools within the East Side Union High School District have planned a 5K Fun Run/Walk on April 25, 2010 It will be the 2nd Annual 5K fun run fundraiser. Last year we raised over $100,000. Those funds were raised to support and sustain Athletic programs within ESUHSD. All athletic programs will benefit directly from this fundraiser - We'd like to count on you more than ever.
We invite you to lend your support to our effort as we continue in our endeavor to work hard at helping build Athletics into one of the best programs in the area. We want to show our support by involving the community and our business community. Your support ensures that the legacy of ESUHSD Athletics will continue. Sponsorship - We welcome cash donations. Minimum sponsorship of $250. (see attached sponsor details)
Donation of Raffle/Auction Item - Includes recognition in event programs. Ideas for donations include tickets to sporting events or the theater, golf, beach homes or vacation getaways, city excursions or high tech items, spa or salon services, gift certificates to a favorite shop or restaurant.
Contributions - May be made for any amount.
